Raw Style Gallery is the destination for POP ART. We feature an amazing collection of artisans each specializing in a different kind of "Art Furniture" (and home accessories) with the emphasis on POP Culture. The result is a bright, eclectic mix of one-of-a-kind "Livable Art".

Owner Pearl Maremont describes her online gallery as "an exercise in anti-style. I believe in going against what is totally expected - combining two conflicting elements while still creating balance."

As soon as you start browsing through the site, you understand exactly what she means. You'll discover a mix of colors and shapes, and as in nature, it works together in perfect harmony. This is the place one can find the special "Furniture Art" or that special POP ART painting that completes a room.

After 12 years operating her illustrious (and very famous) gallery/store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, California, Pearl is now moving into the future with this new ONLINE store and a new gallery location on the famed Third St. Promenade in Santa Monica!

Today, more than ever before, online shoppers at RawStyle.com can enjoy the same special attention and commitment that Pearl has always been known for. She devotes her whole self to her clients; she provides a true "hands-on, call you back" personal touch. Many of her longstanding clients can attest to this. And she can help you via the phone just as if she was there with you in person.

Her devoted customers range from the rich and famous to the people that just want to own a piece of art that is affordable and collectable at the same time.

Pearl has a great eye for the art that works for the NOW generation...whimsical, colorful, affordable and fun. Her gallery will allow international clients to be introduced to American POP and POP culture art, which has become so popular now in our time with nostalgia of childhoods past.

"I've always been involved in the world of art." says Maremont. With over 15 years in interior design and an education in fine arts, Maremont bought, decorated and sold several homes in Connecticut, New York, and California. "As I finished each home, various acquaintances would ask me to design their homes. By word of mouth I created my interior design business. You could say that I entered this industry by accident."

In June 1997 Maremont applied her love and knowledge of American art to opening her gallery on Santa Monica's upscale Montana Avenue. "I've always believed that decorative arts have an appreciable value similar to fine art, whether it's hand-painted furniture, a table lamp, tableware or accessories," she explains.

As a result, each artist specializes in a different area of home furnishings. "I wanted to take home furnishings to a different level. Customers have a choice. They can purchase a lamp from a department store or they can own something that is both functional and a unique work of art." It's also part of a growing trend in American interiors: filling homes with furniture and home accessories that are handcrafted and unique. "Art lifts your spirits, people are so delighted when they walk in here - I want my clients to enter their front doors and feel that excitement in their own homes."

With all the home furnishing stores out there, my message to consumers is to apply art to their everyday lives." Through her store, Maremont has certainly accomplished this creatively. And with passion and flair.
