Former Hollywood celebrity makeup artist Alicia Hayes is a painter and poet.  She is a native of N.W. Arkansas and her career has lead her through many experiences that have impacted her impressions of women as well as her outlook on life. The end result is an amalgam of unique and extraordinary portraits of women.  Alicia has recently added the male form to her creative process.  

From an early age Alicia was captivated by the arts. Her passion was always encouraged by her mother and reinforced by her friend; the late Hollywood Star Maker Jay Bernstein who continues to inspire her today.  Alicia searched and never quite seemed to fit in the niche that she thought society expected of her. Alicia constantly struggled to find her unique place and purpose in the world and never succumbed to peer pressure.  Alicia's inner search for creative expression took her full circle across America and around the World. Her free spirited nature lead to an exploration of voice-artistry, music composing, acting, singing, writing, photography and makeup. Alicia has no formal training and is self-taught in all the areas of her creativity.

Alicia Hayes has worked as a on-air radio personality in the Major Markets of Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas.  She then went on to work in the entertainment industry as a makeup artist and has worked with the faces of Steven Spielberg, Miss Universe, Miss USA, Larry King, Jeff Bridges, Alyssa Milano and others!  She has produced paintings for Jack Nicholson, Larry King, Howard Hewett & Sandra Vidal just to name a few. Alicia's art has been collected across America and her earlier original paintings from the series "A PORTRAIT OF MANY WOMEN" have all  sold out.  Her work has been displayed with renowned artists Erte, Leroy Nieman, and Salvador Dali. She continues her creative collaborations with 3 time EMMY WINNING Costume Designer Birgit Muller of CBS "THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL" painting her unique designs on silks and rendering sketches for the show.

Alicia Hayes launched "A PORTRAIT OF MANY WOMEN" in 1985 and her "HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS" was launched this year at the ArtExpo New York.  This series was inspired by her work as a celebrity makeup artist, and the spectacular beauty and glamorous lives of these great female legends of the past and present. The portraits she produces depict the Stars that the world loves and admires. These paintings allow the viewer a glimpse into the fascinating lives of these famous "HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS". Alicia is currently at work on her "ROCK & SOUL" series which will be unveiled  at the ArtExpo in Las Vegas later this year!

The bubbles in her work symbolize lightness of being, childhood memories and the fact that we all live in one!   Alicia's hand print on the back of each painting is a permanent impression and a unique signature to authenticate the art for future collectors. Alicia paints A PORTRAIT OF MANY WOMEN, HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS, and her up coming ROCK & SOUL series that will leave the viewer anticipating her next creative stroke!
